Oxfordshire Wedding Photography at Caswell House Barn.
I promised to share a little more from Gabi and Simon’s Caswell House wedding about 3 months ago. Its been a very busy summer and my blog is getting somewhat neglected.
Anyway, enough of that and on with Gabi and Simon’s wedding at the magnificent Caswell House Barns near Brize Norton in Oxfordshire. I travelled from my usual Surrey and London wedding photography haunts out into the middle of the Oxfordshire countryside to join Gabi and Simon for their wedding day.
There was a real air of excitement as Gabi was getting ready and an awful lot of fun before the dresses went on and Gabi and Simon tied the not in the barns at Caswell. I managed to catch Simon for a few minutes for some photos before the ceremony. I think he was more nervous about the speeches then the wedding ;). But more on that later. This really is a stunning place to get ready and to get married. Look for the photographs of that magnificent barn. Thats if you can stop looking at the sheer joy on Gabi’s face.
For once, even the British weather played nicely for a while and managed to hold off long enough so we managed to get some fantastic photos in the grounds. When I say just long enough the heavens opened about a minute after we got inside.
I love the way Simon’s Statue of Liberty story didn’t even make the long list for the best men’s speeches.(You’ll have to ask him for details of that one). Though the best men’s Del and Rodney and the pineapple cocktail shaker had the entire wedding just rolling round the floor laughing. Even more then that I love the way the dancing started long before the band were ready and looked like it was going to continue long after I left in the evening. This felt like a real proper celebration.
Enjoy the photographs as much as I enjoyed the day. I tell the story in pictures far better then I can in words.
