Helen and Richard’s London Wedding Photography. Part 1.
Five venues over two days. Its a bit of an understatement to say Helen and Richard don’t do things by halves. And to think when we first spoke about this is they were planning a small wedding. How things change 😉 Ok so to day 1 (day 2 will follow in a couple of weeks so you’ll have to watch this space for that post). Day 1 started in the beautiful Brydon Room at Chelsea Registry office. About as London a wedding as you can get then. Apparently whilst we were all waiting at the registry office Helen was so early she had time to wonder around Waitrose in her dress. Thats a first for me. But this wedding was full of firsts, so I’m not surprised, even a little bit. Anyway, I digress, after their ceremony it would have been rude not to head out onto the steps of the registry office for a few photographs. And of course a few of them had me stood in the middle of King’s Road, traffic dodging. But well worth it for some stunning wedding photography.
After we’d finished at Chelsea we walked round the corner to our second venue, Carlyle’s House. Its got to be said, there’s something a bit special about watching a full wedding party walking through Chelsea. It made for some fantastic photos 😉 I’ve digressed again, to Carlyle’s House then. Its a stunning place, hidden away in the backstreets of Chelsea. The garden and the drawing room there both made for even more stunning photos.
This post seems to be going on a bit of a tour of West London, for the final venue of day the wedding headed to the Gaslight grill at the Lost Angel in Battersea for speeches, drinks and what looked like it was going to be a rather good meal.
So thats 3 of the 5 venues done: Chelsea Registry Office, Carlyle’s House and The Lost Angel. One of my favourite things about this was that each of the venues had been really thought about and meant an awful lot to both Helen and Richard. The next two venues (from the second day) and finding the story behind each of the choices is going to have to wait till the next post. So you’ll have to keep on watching for that.
If you’d like to book your London wedding photography, be that at Chelsea Registry Office or any off the other stunning venues there are around our fantastic capital, my phone number is 07949 099978.
