Happy 2017. Its seems an opportune moment to take a look back on some of the photos from 2016, look at some of the weddings I’ve been lucky enough to photography and some of the people I’ve been lucky enough to work with.
As well as a few personal photos there are also photos from some great weddings around the South East of England. Theres some fantastic photos here from some venues throughout London and Surrey. A few personal photos as well. Most of my pet photography is on my pet website and that of course includes a bast of 2016

Hilary and Liam got married. On a stunning autumn day right in the middle of Richmond Park at Pembroke Lodge. And what a day it was. I met Hilary and Liam at Pembroke Lodge just before their ceremony in the Russell Suite there.
Hilary and Liam where married in a lovely, intimate ceremony in the Russell Suite. The autumn sunlight made for some fantastic photos and the showers held off, atleast for the day. The autumn even treated us to a spectacular sunset over South West London. It would of been rude not to take advantage. It made for some stunning photos.
Hilary and Liam adore good, (dare I say) old fashioned puzzles. There was an awful lot of entertainment provided by word searches, jigsaw puzzles and watching guests trying to outdo each other and having a very good time doing so.
After their cake cutting Hilary and Liam treated us to a great first dance and a fantastic band. Some of the photos are on this post. I do hope you’ll enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them. I left, unable to hear properly a party that looked set to go on well after I’d headed off
Its worth a little mention of the band. Their energy came through in their set. Different enough to be really good as well. And I love jazz played like they did. I’m sure somewhere there may even be a photo.

Look forward to speaking to you soon.
I’ve been wanting to add a separate photography business (I guess a sister company) for my pet photography. I think it need to be a separate business so I can give it and you the attention it deserves. If I’m being 100% open as well I’m not sure its the most natural of fits with wedding and people photography either.
I could talk for ages about why I’ve decided to do this, but that’d be little or no fun. So I’ll just direct you to my new Surrey and London Dog Photography site and ask you take some time to wonder around. If you enjoy please pass my name on
Its been a while, but then, this is a bit of an epic and well worth waiting for. Lots of Asian elements, York House, a rather stunning car, dress changes, the Landmark Centre, Teddington Lock and, when push comes to shove, one can never have to much bling.
I joined Lavina as she was getting ready at her Mum’s house in Hanworth. Complete with cats and little brother who just wanted a little foundation ‘to take the shine off’, but all you need is shine, right?
Lavina and Paul got married in the Loggia Suite at York House in Twickenham, a stunning venue to get married in. And Lavina and Paul more then did the elegant surroundings proud. It really was something to see Paul and all his family in traditional Indian dress for the wedding (and the evening too, but we’ll get to that in good time). Somehow, there’s something about the gardens at York House that really makes these two lock fantastic in their photographs (that and a very talented photographer ;). Have a look below at some of the stunning photographs there are in the gardens.
From York house we headed via a very short stop at Teddington Lock, for some photos on the bridge there, to the Landmark Centre for their reception and evening party. I loved the way they started to reception by being drummed into the ceremony and swapped flower garlands with each others well. I told you this wedding was full of tiny touches didn’t I?.
They’d filled the Landmark Centre, which is stunning it its won right, with lots of not so little touches, I loved the tuc-tuc photo booth and the way they’d hung curtains of lights around the Landmark. The cake was possibly the best I’ve seen, certainly it was right up there.
After a rather stunning meal. most of the bridal party changed into even more spectacular dresses before a rather stunning first dance and a very lively looking evening party started. I don’t imagine it stopped until some point the following morning.
Enjoy the photos. I’d love to know what you think. Why not leave a comment?

Kathryn and Joseph got married. It was a bit of an epic around West London. Starting in Twickenham, Getting married in Putney and the finishing the day off at the glorious Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park. Told you it was a bit of an epic. I’d better start at the beginning then.
I joined Kathryn as she was getting ready in the Marriott Hotel at Twickenham Stadium. (I never realised quite how good the views of the pitch are from the room there,I digress though). All of her bridesmaids and lots of her family wren staying in the hotel so people wondered in and out starting a really nice feel for the whole day. There are some fantastic photos of them all getting ready, but I’m still not convinced when they say they “just woke up like it”.;)
From the Marriott we headed over to All Saint’s Church in Putney to meet Joseph and the rest of the boys. It has to be said that he was looking very nervous before their wedding. However once Kathryn and her very proud looking Dad walked down the aisle Joseph’s slightly green tinge seemed to disappear and he looked like he was enjoying every moment.I love the photos of them leaving All Saint’s together.
From Al Saint’s we headed off to their reception at Pembroke Lodge. On buses they’d laid on for everyone. Although I’m still not sure if the drivers had been told to take the long way to allow everyone time to enjoy drinks or simply got lost on the way.Secretly, I like to think they just got lost. After taking the long way, or getting lost, the buses dropped us all at Pembroke Lodge for a stunning reception in the Belvedere Suite there.
The sun shone, the cake started to melt and Pembroke Lodge staff put on their normal great reception in the Belvedere suite. The views of West London for the photos were stunning. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taken them. The speeches had the guests rolling round laughing and it looked like the party would go on for some time to come.

One of the really good things about photographing weddings in London is every so often you get to shoot at venues as glorious as the Inner Temple. So on one of the better afternoons of this summer I dodged the showers and headed off to the Inner Temple to second shoot for my friend, Yvonne White, from White Gold Photography for the afternoon.
And what a wonderful afternoon and a wonderful wedding. The gardens and the hall at Temple are simply a glorious place to get married. And to photograph a wedding. So I really think I should let the photos speak for themselves. Do enjoy them.

Cheryl and Ryan got married. On one of the few glorious days we’ve had this summer. The sun shone and all had a fantastic day.
I started joining Cheryl and the bridal party at Her Mum and Dad’s house on the outskirts of Basingstoke. Where, despite offers of some great smelling launch, I managed to get though with my waist line intact (it can be such a hardship ;). I also took some fantastic photos and it has to be said – Cheryl, the blue rollers were so…… Actually, best not say it.
From there we moved to the very lovely St Mary’s church in Old Basing for their ceremony. I love the photos of Ryan looking very nervous before the ceremony and then became much more relaxed through the day. Afterwards we stopped into the most gorgeous early evening light and it would of been just rude not to take full advantage of it for some lovely group and photos of the to of them in the church grounds. I love some of the photos of them there. Simple yet beautifully lit.
The day finished with a reception, first dance and speeches in the village hall. And a rather good hog roast as well. As I left after first dance Which was superbly sung by Ryan’s two nieces) it looked like the evening was settling in for a rather good party
Just to mention, Ryan is a pretty accomplished photographer himself (and I’m playing his abilities down a fair bit there). I was a real pleasure to be asked to do this.
Enjoy the photos.

So its been far to long since I’ve had anytime to blog very much. But anyway enough of that. Some photography and stories instead. Its so much more fun. Here we go then. On one of the few glorious spring afternoons we’ve had this summer (We have had a few, honest) Kathryn, Joseph and I headed into Richmond park for their engagement photoshoot, ahead of their Pembroke Lodge wedding in a few weeks time.
After a lovely wander round the park some of what we came back with is here for you to enjoy. Watch this blog for their wedding later in the summer.

I love this photo. Come to think of it I adore the building too. I think the Sagrada Familia is probably the most jaw droppingly beautiful building I’ve ever set foot in. Guide’s temple in Barcelona is just breathtaking. I struggled to get my head round the idea that someone can create something that absolutely brilliant and beautiful.
I’d love to hear what you think of my photography. Please leave a comment and let me know. If you’d rather you can email me through the contact form.
I’ve been thinking about doing pet portraits for a little while now. And I’ve finally got round to it. People often bring their pets for their family portrait shoots, but until now I’ve never offered exclusive photography just of your pets, dogs, cats, rabbits of whatever else you may love. Our pets mean so much to us. If you’re anything like me you’d be utterly lost without them.
So from now, I’m offering portraits, either in the studio or out in their favourite places. It’ll give you portraits of them to treasure. Why not book today?
To make a booking just give me a ring on 07949 099978 and we’ll arrange a time that works for you. If you’d rather email us the really handy contact form you can use. I’ll get back to you within twenty four hours. If you have any questions first you can get hold of me in the same way – please do ask them.
