Courses and workshops.

I run a number of courses and workshops from my Twickenham offices and in and around Twickenham and Richmond. These are aimed at both experienced photographers and those who are new to their DSLRs and want to get some more from them. In the detailed course description I do give an outline of knowledge you’ll need to get the most from each course. A very quick outline of each course is below.

For those new to their DSLR.

Getting the best from your DSLR.

This course will improve your photographs beyond all recognition. The course teaches the critical elements that make up exposure and how to adjust each to take the photograph you want. By the time you’ve finished you’ll never use auto mode again.

An introduction to digital editing.

This course covers simple editing steps. The basics and looks at available editing tools,introduces the various file types we can save photos as and simple steps that should be performed on every photo and do add real wow to those photos.

Intermediate Courses.

An introduction to studio portraits.

Working in a studio, this course gives an introduction to studio lighting, modifiers and metering light. Due to the nature of this course we’ll be working in a studio all day.

Further image editing.

Building on the principles learned in the “Introduction to image editing” course this course takes a more indepth look at editing techniques and tools available.

Advanced courses.

Lightroom workflow and editing.

Intended for working (part or full time) photographers or for those about to set up in business. This course looks at how to improve your workflow and editing in order to regain some precious photography time. Taught 1:1 and tailored very much to your individual needs.
