Kew Gardens are a stunning place to get married. And it’s a world heritage site to boot. As you’d expect from that introduction you’d be hard pressed to find many better venues worldwide. Thats one very big statement that Kew Gardens has to live up to. Its fair to say it manages to do so very well indeed.
You could either have a civil ceremony in Cambridge Cottage in Kew Gardens themselves, or marry in St Anne’s church on Kew Green and then have your reception in the Kew Gardens. St Anne’s is one of only a handful of churches with a royal box. It can only be described as very special. For your wedding photography opportunities are just to plentiful to mention here, from the splendid sweeping vistas with views across the river to Syon Park or to the Pagoda or Palm Houses within the gardens.
The design of the plant houses is stunning and each one of the offers something different. The Temperate House offers a fantastic location with its classical design and layout, and the Princess of Wales Conservatory and the Alpine House offer beautiful, contemporary design to match your wedding photographs. And it would be a shame not to mention the Palm House in that list, its such a stunning building for your wedding photographs.
You also have the option of choosing to have a drinks reception in one of the conservatories. Its a good job they give you a driver and a buggy to get you and your photographer around ;-), because those fantastic protected vistas over the gardens would take a little walking to otherwise.
