Kneller Hall is the latest venue in Richmond on Thames to be licenced to hold weddings. As with so many of the venues in the area its stunning. Home to the Royal Military School of Music and headquarters of the British Army ‘s corp of Army Music this is a fantastic venue. I suspect it’s very likely to be of special interest to anyone with the military or an musical background.
Built in the early 18th century Kneller Hall was originally home to the celebrated painter Sir Geoffrey Kneller. The Royal Military School of Music was established there in the mid 19th century by the Duke of Cambridge who was at the time Commander in Chief of the British Army. Many of the current tutors at the school also play in the London Symphony Orchestra as well as teach at various London music colleges. Kneller Hall also houses the British Military Music Museum with its fantastic collection of uniforms, instruments and photographs from the corps’ formation to the present day. The museum is open to the public and if your guests wish a wonder round as well, then its open to them.
This is just the latest in a long line of superb venues Richmond and Twickenham offer to a London wedding photographer. Kneller Hall is no exception in that regard with its superb, iconic frontage and fantastic grounds.
